United v Seville: Team, Score Prediction and Press Conference

April 13, 2023

Team News

The bad news that Rashford is out with a groin strain that he picked up against Everton is tempered with the good news that Martial, Casemiro and Eriksen are all available. Shaw continues to recover from injury, so Malacia will probably start. Rumours are that McTominay is also unavailable as he wasn’t spotted at training. With that in mind, here is our team to beat Seville.

Team Prediction

De Gea

Dalot Varane Martinez Malacia

Casemiro Fernandes

Sabitzer

Antony Martial Sancho

Dalot starts ahead of Wan-Bissaka but both are in good form. That makes it a toss-up between the two. Wan-Bissaka offers more in defence. Dalot offers more offensively. Varane trained and is expected to start after being rested against Everton.

It’s probably too soon for Eriksen to start meaning Sabitzer gets the nod ahead of Casemiro and Fernandes. Casemiro, of course, missed games through punishment not injury so should be able to slot back in, even if he is somewhat rusty.

Martial leads the line. Hopefully, he manages 70+ minutes and goes off tired not injured.

Score Prediction: 2-0

As ever, if United don’t concede from mistakes they should be too good for Seville but give them an early goal and it could be a tough night.
