First, here’s the side United should put out. No shocks in defence but in midfield, we cannot expect Fernandes to play deep. He’s already exhausted, and putting him in a role where he has to run even more is asking for trouble. He needs Fred and Sabitzer behind him, not ahead.
Unfortunately, we have to pin our hopes on Martial leading the line. Maybe he can go twenty minutes before he limps off or becomes disinterested.

Ten Hag is likely to start Weghorst and perhaps McTominay instead of Fred. Hopefully, he plays Fernandes in his best position and not out wide or as a deep-lying midfielder.
Score Prediction: 3-2
Any win would do. Teams know United are fatigued and fragile, so won’t be afraid to attack. An early United goal and then a second after half-time would be nice but that would be too easy, so instead we predict an aneurism-inducing end-to-end game.
