Team Prediction
Ten Hag mentioned both Fernandes and Casemiro starting despite their yellow cards and the risk of missing later game. He also mentioned putting out his strongest side but hinted that Pellistri may get a start with Antony out. Sancho didn’t get mentioned but there has to be a strong possibility he plays.
Here are the available players: De Gea, Heaton, Butland, Dalot, Lindelof, Maguire, Malacia, Martinez, Shaw, Varane, Wan-Bissaka, Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes, Fred, McTominay, Sabitzer, Elanga, Pellistri, Rashford, Sancho, Weghorst.
We’d like to see something like this:
De Gea
Wan-Bissaka Varane Martinez Shaw
Casemiro Fred
Fernandes
Pellistri Rashford Sancho
As ever, there’s a good chance Varane gets rested. Dalot could get another chance along with Malacia, who is short on minutes.
In midfield, the only free spot is Fred’s but that could go to Sabitzer or McTominay if Ten Hag wants to experiment.
Upfront, Rashford starts. Weghorst probably starts, in which case it’s one of Sancho or Pellistri. Both wingers would be better.
Generally, the manager puts out strong sides and doesn’t like to change too much. We could see something like this.
De Gea
Dalot Maguire Martinez Malacia
Casemiro Sabitzer
Fernandes
Pellistri Weghorst Rashford
Score Prediction 1-2
Betis are bound to score but unlikely to win. A draw is also a decent prediction.
