Manchester United vs West Ham Predicted XI, Score and Erik ten Hag’s Press Conference

March 1, 2023

Newly crowned League Cup Winners Manchester United host West Ham at Old Trafford tonight. We expect one or two changes. Varane tends to be saved for the biggest games, so he may be absent. Fernandes has run more than anyone this season and is due a rest but he seems to refuse to be rested. Same goes for Rashford who will want to add to his goal-scoring whenever possible. Here’s how they may line up tonight.

Possible Starting Eleven

At the back, Maguire is in for Varane. Malacia is in for Shaw. Wan Bissaka seems to have won the battle for starting right-back, and his combinations with Antony are exceptional. Dalot looks like he’s still coming back to fitness.

In midfield, Sabitzer is in for Fred. Fred has played both badly and brilliantly recently, and we all need a rest from the worry of which Fred will appear. Fernandes wants to play every game and consistently outruns everyone. It would be nice to rest him, but if neither he nor Ten Hag thinks he needs it, then who are we to question?

Upfront, Weghorst leading the line aka press with Rashford and Antony on either side.

Here’s what Erik ten Hag had to say in his Press Conference:

Predicted Score: 3-1

We are a much better side than West Ham and if we weather whatever early storm there is, we should run out as comfortable winners.
