United Predicted Team and Score v City

January 13, 2023
If ever there was a day to play your best team, Saturday is it. With that said, here’s the team Erik ten Had will probably pick. De Gea is a certainty so there is no real debate on that. He’ll start behind our best defence which is Shaw, Martinez, Varane, Dalot. The only questions are the fitness of Dalot, who came off early against Charlton and Varane who wasn’t even on the bench for that game. Maguire and Wan-Bissaka may come in but all indications are that they won’t be needed. The midfield sees a returning Fernandes, who should be energised by a midweek rest, captaining the side. Eriksen and Casemiro will join him. There is a chance of Fred instead of Eriksen but that would be solely down to fatigue that the United medical team will have warned the management team of. Eriksen seems in good condition so that probably isn’t the case. Upfront is fairly obvious too. Rashford is in the form of his life and the front three of him, Martial and Antony has worked well recently. There are arguments about playing Rashford upfront in the middle but Erik ten Hag seems to like Martial as a nine. Here’s the team we expect to see: United XI : De Gea, Dalot, Martinez, Varane, Shaw, Casemiro, Eriksen, Fernandes, Rashford, Martial, Antony

Score Prediction:

2-0
