Predicted Line-Up and Score Manchester United v Bournemouth

January 3, 2023

Two changes are predicted with Marcus Rashford and Lisandro Martinez to return.

In defence, Martinez is likely to return with Lindelof and Maguire as the other options. Varane, unless tired, is a guaranteed starter.

In midfield Eriksen to start, although he looked off the pace versus Wolves. A rest in the cup games could be an option where Fred could get a start. Casemiro and Fernandes remain vital.

Upfront, Rashford comes in. Martial and Antony, poor against Wolves will probably get another chance.

Man. Utd Predicted XI v Bournemouth

Score Prediction

United should have too much firepower for struggling Bournemouth and if they score early could rack up a decent amount of goals. The defence has been strong too so expect a clean sheet. 2-0.

A couple of pundits have made their predictions already:

Mark Lawrenson for Paddy Power:

Bournemouth are starting to fall. I worry for them.

Without playing well, United are winning and, if you can do that, you’re a good side. They’re solid and improving.

Score prediction: Manchester United 3-0 Bournemouth

Chris Sutton for BBC:

“I’m a bit worried about where Bournemouth are heading while they have lost six of their past seven league games and conceded two poor goals from set-plays against Crystal Palace.

“With five successive wins in all competitions, Manchester United are heading in the opposite direction.

“It helps a lot that Marcus Rashford is playing so well at the moment, but Erik ten Hag is doing a very good job and they’re a team that looks full of confidence.”

Score prediction: Manchester United 3-0 Bournemouth
